Stanley has come full circle. Stanley and Rayburn were both established by Aga’s predecessor company, Allied Ironfounders, in Scotland in the 1930s. It established the Waterford foundry for Stanley in 1934 and some Rayburn lines were made there before the war.
In the 1960s Stanley was acquired by A. H. Masser Ironfounders. Two Masser employees – E. W. Campbell and A. J. Cooke – went on to form Campbell & Cooke, which is still the agent of Aga in Ireland.
Stanley produces traditional cast-iron range cookers, stoves and the innovative Stanley Compact. The collection of range cookers centres on the Brandon, Donard, Comeragh and Errigal models. The Waterford offering features conventional cookers and gas stoves.
