Learn more about the company and its Ayurvedic philosophy
Ayurveda means 'the science of life' or 'way of living wisely'.
It's an accessible ancient Indian healthcare philosophy and way of living, which is being practised by millions of people around the world. The 4,000-year-old philosophy is based on energetic qualities and elements of life.
To get the most benefit from Ayurveda there are key things you should consider - the importance of eating cooked food, eating to the season and having warm drinks.
Guided by the wisdom of Ayurveda, Pukka Herbs recognises that lifestyle, food, massage, yoga and herbal remedies can help to keep us healthy.
The company has created an award winning range of 100-per-cent organic herbal teas, remedies, massage oils and supplements to help people stay in harmony and at optimum health according to their dosha (Ayurvedic mind and body type).
The company knows the exact field that every herb comes from and have pioneered a much fairer way of doing business with the growers in India and Sri Lanka.
It is part of a new business movement that is not just all about profit. "We know our customers are reassured that the proceeds of what they buy flow back to the farmers.
"For some of the less-advantaged farming families we've met, it has meant they can install electricity and send their kids to school. In fact, one community even built their own school."
The team visits many of the farming projects it works with every year. "The farming projects we buy from have been certified organic and all products are certified by the Soil Association."
Organic growing methods have helped revitalise the farmers' traditional growing methods. The benefits have included a better crop diversity, improving their environment and an ability to earn more money.
Pukka Herbs has a range of 10 herbal organic teas, which have been specially blended by the company's co-founder and Ayurvedic practitioner, Sebastian Pole.
Sebastian trained in Ayurveda in India and runs a herbal practice in Bath.

Entirely commited: Sebastian and Tim are committed to conservation, fair trade and organic Ayurvedic remedies |
The two business partners met after Sebastian responded to a newspaper advertisement Tim had placed.
It had come about as a result of Tim's frustration with his career and a spinal condition that had caused him to re-evaluate his lifestyle. Neither had run a business before.
Starting with three teas to the now ten available, Pukka's products, and its philosophy, has found an immediate resonance amongst customers.
From the outset, its teas were enjoyed for both flavour and for their gentle health benefits.
Its remedies, always accompanied by lifestyle advice, have brought many claims from customers who believe their health and well-being has benefited, in particular, with testimonials for improvements in stress levels, skin conditions, women's health and arthritis.
Pukka Herbs is an environmental and ethical business in every aspect of its trading.
Examples of some of the ways this is managed are - the medicinal plants are all from sustainable managed projects that are organically certified by the Soil Association; its packaging is made from sustainable managed forests or recyclable glass; and printing of catalogues and product labels is done on pulp from European forests managed for sustainability using vegetable-based inks.
Pukka is also committed to educating and informing its audience with distance learning programmes.
Two years ago, Pukka went online, which not only enabled customers to buy direct but also allowed it to promote further the Ayurvedic approach to living.
A quiz has been developed to help determine your dosha. Armed with this information, people can follow diet, exercise and lifestyle recommendations and live a healthier and happier life.
Sebastian Pole, herbal director of Pukka Herbs, said: "For good health and well-being the doshas need to be in balance. If we can understand what our body needs, we can make positive changes to our lifestyle that will help us feel balanced and stay happy and healthy."
With its products being chosen for models to use at London Fashion Week, the testimonials it has received from the public, and the variety of products available for many types of health benefits, inner and outer, this is a popular product with all kinds of people.
Sebastian Pole and Tim Westwell have developed a company with environmental and ethical issues in mind, which not only sells products but also offers a service to help you to better your health and lifestyle.
This had been achieved using the ancient Indian healthcare philosophy and way of living that is based on energetic qualities and elements of life.
