National Breakfast Week recipe

 
For a nutritious and filling start to the day why not try this recipe for the perfect traditional Bacon Sandwich
 
Traditional Bacon SandwichWhat do I need?
2 slices British back bacon
1 beefsteak tomato, sliced
2 slices wholemeal bread

How long will it take to make?
Preparation time: 5 minutes
Cooking time: 5 minutes
Serves: 1       

What do I do?
Put the bacon and tomato slices on a grill pan and place under a preheated grill. Grill for 3 minutes, turn the bacon and tomato slices and grill for a further 2 minutes.  Place the bread on a plate and pile the bacon and tomato in between the slices.

Aga and Rayburn method
Grill at the top of the roasting oven of the Aga or the top of a hot main oven of the Rayburn, over 200°C
