Americano Meatballs: full of spicy flavour | What do I need? 450g (1lb) minced beef 1 packet Schwartz Americano Spicy Meatball 4 tbsp tomato purée 1 yellow pepper, cut into chunks 400g tin chopped tomatoes 150ml (¼ pint) water 220g (7oz) spaghetti, cooked and drained
What do I do? Tip the minced beef into a large bowl. Sprinkle in the packet contents and squeeze in 2 tablespoons of tomato purée.
Using your hands, thoroughly mix the mince mixture and then form into about 20 small meatballs.
Fry the meatballs in a deep frying pan for about 10-12 minutes. Then add the pepper and cook for a few minutes to soften.
Aga method 2, 3 and 4 oven Aga: Start off frying the meatballs on the boiling plate then transfer to the floor of the roasting oven for about 10-12 minutes, turning once. Then add the pepper and cook for a few minutes to soften.
Add the chopped tomatoes, the remaining tomato purée and water, and simmer for 5-10 minutes, until thickened.

Serve the meatballs on a bed of cooked spaghetti.
